The formal boundary, or “surround,” for a badminton court is two feet, or 0.61 meters, around the outside. Additionally, like many champions of badminton sports, I would like to advise that if a court is surrounded by walls or other potentially dangerous structures, consider a safety buffer. Or you need to surround that extends at least 2 meters from the baselines and sidelines of the court to the closest wall or structure.

Thus, a conventional doubles badminton court requires a minimum area of 94.07 m² (1012.56 ft²), with 7.32 m (24 ft) of width and 14.63 m (48 ft) of length. What’s more,  a surface area of 124.82 m² (1343.55 ft²) and dimensions of 10.10 m (33.14 ft) by 17.41 m (57.12 ft) are ideal for the area.
